It's interesting how Gabriel adapts around V1 when they're written in a shippy way. V1 sometimes doesn't reciprocate his feelings. Sometimes it does, but it doesn't express itself in the healthiest ways.

Gabriel takes what he's given, latches onto crumbs but doesn't starve. He's always in a position where he can't ask for more because he doesn't know any better, possibly.

What if Gabriel begins to feel empty? What happens when he misses the past? What happens when he grows scared of the uncertain future not planned by his father? Having a relationship with V1 is entering in uncharted territory, and honestly I don't think V1 would be a good partner right away. What would happen if his new life isn't what he wants?

Would V1 learn from him and try to change/mold too, like he did for them, to make him happier?

After watching Logan Paul shouting back at DanTDM on Twitter for calling him (and Mr Beast + KSI) out on making yet another junk food item for kids and then claiming Lunchly doesn't have lead in it unlike Lunchables (despite Logan's previous drink, Prime Hydration, being full of lead) I'm noticing more and more recently that all the ragebait, sensationalism and clickbait of the online world often follows Cunningham's Law:

"The best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer."

Replace "right answer" with "views" and "wrong answer" with "misinformation" and the law fits the modern internet to a tee. This could also go for wrong choices as well.

Three YouTubers making junk food is going to cause more press and attention than making something actually nutritious for children.

One little detail I like/noticed in season 1 of Ask the Storybots is that Bang would have delayed blinking, or whatever you call it when one eyelid closes slower than the other.

(Here's some gif examples comparing his blinking to the others)

Like it's not an animation error as the other characters blink evenly while Bang's is slightly delayed. It's a small detail that the animators had put in purposely.

Idk why but I like this detail a lot even if it's as quick and insignificant as blinking. It just gives Bang a bit more pinch of personality to his character while the show was still fleshing him out in the early episodes. I don't think he does this in later seasons tho

But yeah, Bang blinking like this is funny/cute to me

Do We All Collectively Simp for Cole?

There’s something that I just noticed about the Ninjago community, I’m unsure if it’s just the part that I’m in or just all of us with the same braincell, But I’ve noticed that we all collectively seem to ship Cole with at least one of the other Ninja (Minus Lloyd ‘cause that’s just ew). I’m a Lavashipper, I love these two so much, but I’m also a sucker for Bruise and Glacier content. Like, is it just ‘cause Cole works well with all of them? Or do we all see ourselves in Kai/Jay/Zane and just wanna be WITH Cole ourselves? Like how do we all collectively do this?

at a bar with friends, a man puts his hand on my wrist. got a boyfriend? and yes, i do have a boyfriend, she's amazing. i am texting her while i wander around a gas station named after geese. i am visiting a swing state for a wedding. in the candy aisle i overhear: she's actually like a lesbian it's disgusting. two teenage girls with packaged sandwiches in their hands, giggling. no literally, like. i'm not, like. okay with her being there while we're all, like, naked and changing.

my girlfriend and i tailgate, drink gin and cider out of cups. from the frat group beside us, a man corrects himself with one of his friends: bro, i mean, nonbinary entity, and it makes everyone around him laugh, myself included. he razzes his friend the same way i would have killed for at 19 years old - like nothing happened, he continues: you apply sunscreen like an alien. he does a little sassy (and fairly accurate) dance interpretation of the motion. his friend is laughing so hard they're crying.

i am lucky, i live in a safe neighborhood in a safe state. my masc passenger princess comes up from DC. i drive her for an hour to where all the leaves are a violent arrangement of color. we walk along the trails, letting autumn into our blood. in this part of the state, there's a lot of pickup trucks and trump signs. when we chastely kiss before getting into the car, i accidentally make eye contact with a woman holding her child's wrist. she looks disgusted. she looks fucking pissed.

two hours later my girl and i are eating dinner on a patio, soaking in the last warmth of new england sun before the chill of winter sets in. we are giggling and trying to talk through plastic vampire teeth. at another table, i see a young woman sit up straighter. i watch her watch us. she blushes and takes her partner's hand from across the table. shy, like the taste of evening has just become something deeper.

it's worth it for this moment, i think. my lover is still humming the same song she's been singing for four days straight and i don't want to kill her for it. her guitar is beside my bed. her toothbrush is in my bathroom. in a few moments i will make us lunch. we are lucky enough to have found each other. it is lucky enough to be in love.

It's funny how grounding his Ether mask was to him now. It may have been many centuries since that Great Whirlwind, but he still remembers how stifling it felt at first to have to wear his protective armor and mask anywhere outside the barracks of a Ketch.

Drawing another breath in Variks steadied himself. His informants had told him that today Eramiskel would be seeking him out for the artifact he had pulled from the ice here. Hopefully he could steer her away from it, that shard radiated the same dark power he remembered from the Whirlwind (and from the new amulet Eramis wore).

A small ache came to his attention (well relatively, it had been long enough that most of what others would consider a small pain just passed him by) in his prosthetic. It hadn't ever really recovered from the Prison of Elders, but a source of Light out here did beg looking into. Something to plan for after his meeting with his Kel.

Deep within the facility a little light was scanning around. Careful of the small Vex overwatch on the place a little drone Ghosted its way around searching for something... or someone.

In the testing areas over a discarded pile of machinery the light pulsed.

i think fanbases are kind of funny, because out of all the ones ive been in my whole life, (smash, Pokemon, halo. and a number of others that escape my brain). theres always one that all the fans go "yeah that game is awful" but you look at the reviews and they are like 8-9/10,

like not a single Pokemon game has gone lower than a 70% on any review site. gen 1: 85-89% gen 2: 80-90% gen 3: 77-84% gen 4: 83-87% gen 5: 80-87% gen 6: 83-87% gen 7: 78-88% gen 8: 73-83% gen 9: 72%

if I remember correctly its either gen 4 or gen 6 who are the most hated out of the fanbase but they do better than some of the older ones.

then with halo none of the games on Medicritic have gotten lower than a 80% (by original release, not counting re-release scores) Halo CE: 97% Halo 2: 95% Halo 3: 94% Halo 3 ODST: 83% Halo Reach: 91% Halo 4: 87% Halo 5 guardians: 84% Halo Infinite: 87%

halo 4 is by far the most hated one, but it does just as good as the other games.

for smash almost all of them except for 3DS and N64 got lower than a 90%. smash: 79% melee: 92% brawl: 93% smash 4: 85-92% ultimate: 93%

brawl is touted as the worst one, even though it has one of the highest scores, and has the most to do.

I think most of this thought process has just came from these fans knowing these games inside and out, and are comparing them to each other. but in reality these games and all really good and aren't that bad.

like none of these games that if you picked them up you would have a bad time. all of these games are great. and you cant go wrong with any of them at all

but if you have any other ideas why fanbases do this kind of thing I would love to know.
